Ola S1 and S1 Air: New lineup explained
The Ola S1 receives a new variant with a 2kWh battery pack. This new variant is tuned to the needs of people who primarily need a scooter to zip around the city. A lower battery pack means a lower driving range, which isn’t too big of an issue when your driving limit won’t exceed 30km per day.
The new 2kWh Ola S1 variant costs Rs 99,999 and offers a driving range of 91km. In comparison, the top-spec Ola S1 costs Rs 1,09,999 and comes with a 3kWh battery pack with a driving range of 141km. The top speed of the entry-level S1 variant has been capped at 90kmph while the top-spec variant goes up to 95kmph. Both variants are powered by the same 8.5kW motor.
While Ola did not add any variants to its flagship, S1 Pro, it reduced the price of the scooter by Rs 10,000. The Ola S1 Pro now costs Rs 1.30 lakh and comes with a 4kWh battery pack that offers a driving range of 181km. The top speed for the S1 Pro has been capped at 116kmph.
The Ola S1 Air lineup receives the maximum number of variants, given it seems to be the most popular among the Indian audience. When the scooter was announced, Ola offered a 2.5kWh battery pack. Now, Ola is offering the S1 Air in 2kWh, 3kWh, and 4kWh variants. Those who booked the 2.5kWh model will be upgraded to the 3kWh battery pack.

The entry-level 2kWh S1 Air is priced at Rs 84,999 while the mid and top-spec variants cost Rs 99,999 and Rs 1.10 lakh respectively.
