2022 Maruti Alto K10 Images Leaked Ahead of Launch

Images of the 2022 Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 have been leaked online ahead of its launch on August 18. Earlier, the dimensions and variants of the Maruti Alto K10 had been revealed by certain reports. Maruti does not plan on discontinuing the Alto 800, as the K10 will be sold alongside the former. The leaked images reveal a complete redesign on all fronts, with the styling of the Alto K10 being heavily inspired by the Celerio.

The latest reports suggest the dimensions of the Alto K10 to be 3530 x 1490 x 1520mm with a wheelbase of 2380mm. This makes it a visibly bigger vehicle than the Alto 800. When it comes to exterior design, the Maruti Alto K10 looks nothing like its predecessor. The front end receives a larger redesigned grille that has been totally blacked out. The headlamps were long due to receive an upgrade, and the K10 does not disappoint with its wide sweptback headlamps. The front and rear bumper have received tweaks in design as well.

The side profile carries the more traditional Alto look, receiving lift-up door handles and a pronounced shoulder line. From the rear, the Alto K10 could be mistaken for the Celerio at the first glance, with a significant overlap in design. A closer inspection would reveal certain points of difference between the tail lamps and bumpers of the two vehicles.

The Maruti Alto K10 receives heavy upgrades on the inside, bringing it up to 2022 standards. The hatchback receives a touchscreen infotainment system, dashboard redesign, window switches on the dashboard, and steering-mounted controls (on higher variants). The Alto K10 will also come equipped with smartphone connectivity (Android Auto and Apple CarPlay), and safety features like ABS, ESP, and dual airbags on the front.

The Maruti Alto K10 will be offered in 12 variants in six colour options. Eight of the variants will have manual transmission while the other four will be automatic. The K10 will be powered by the 1.0-litre K10C Petrol engine, which Maruti is planning to make standard on all its hatchbacks. While the pricing will be revealed closer to launch, the Maruti Alto K10 will rival Renault Kwid, Datsun redi-Go, and Maruti Suzuki Celerio upon launch.
