Maruti Suzuki Swift has been one of the top-selling cars in India ever since its launch in 2005. The fourth-generation model is expected to arrive by early 2023 and was recently spied road testing in Europe. With an early 2023 launch, Maruti Suzuki could be aiming to unveil the hatchback at AutoExpo in January 2023. In this article, we take a closer look at the spy shots of the 2023 Maruti Suzuki Swift.

2023 Maruti Suzuki Swift Spied: What’s New?
The fourth-gen Maruti Suzuki is a mixbag of old and new design elements. The front grille, LED headlamps, and rear taillights have been redesigned to give the Swift a more contemporary look. Meanwhile, the hatchback retains the iconic wide rear profile. The taillights flanking the boot lid is also reminiscent of the first-generation Swift. The 2023 Maruti Suzuki Swift will also carry forward the sloping roofline that many have come to associate with the Swift.
While no images of the interiors have surfaced, we expect the 2023 Swift to get a 9.0-inch infotainment screen and a semi-digital instrument cluster. On top of that, the Maruti Suzuki Swift will come equipped with the latest features such as a head-up display, 360-degree camera, ESP, cruise control, and connected car tech.
Under the hood, the Maruti Suzuki Swift will retain the 1.2-litre DualJet VVT engine that produces a maximum power of 90PS and 113Nm torque. We could also see the Swift being offered in a mild-hybrid setup. Buyers may also get an option between a 5-speed manual transmission and a 5-speed AMT. Maruti will also release a CNG variant of the Swift later in 2023.

Maruti may also release a ‘Swift Sport’ variant for the overseas markets. It is very unlikely that Swift Sport makes its way to India. After its launch in 2023, the Maruti Suzuki Swift will rival Hyundai Grand i10 Nios, Tata Tigor, Renault Triber, and Maruti Ignis.
