The new Hyundai Tucson spied: Here’s what the images reveal
The new Tucson will be a massive step up from its outgoing counterpart. The newly designed exterior falls in line with Hyundai’s ‘Sensual Sportiness’ philosophy. The front view reveals a large redesigned 3D grille with what is being referred to as a ‘parametric jewel’ theme. The two LED headlamps are integrated into either side of the massive grille.
The side profile immediately brings attention to the 19-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels which look very premium and possibly better than anything else we’ve seen in this category. The rear features a redesigned tailgate with new LED tail lamps.
Apart from these significant upgrades, the new Hyundai Tucson will also receive black claddings on wheel arches and door sills, a high-mounted stop lamp, and a sporty rear diffuser.
When it comes to safety, the radar module on the rear bumper suggests that the SUV will be offered with ADAS (Advanced Driver’s Assistance System).
The interiors, while heavily camouflaged, reveal a touchscreen infotainment system, AC vents on the centre console, a four-spoke steering wheel, leather upholstery, and a digital instrument cluster.

The new Hyundai Tucson 2022 is likely to be offered in a 2.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine with an 8-speed automatic gearbox, and a 1.6-litre GDI turbo petrol unit option with a 6-speed automatic transmission. Apart from that, a diesel variant may also be offered.
With a price range of around Rs 23-28 lakh, the new Hyundai Tucson will lock horns with Citroen C5 Aircross, Jeep Compass, Toyota Fortuner, and Kia Seltos.
