Mahindra XUV400 EV: What the spy shots reveal
The Mahindra XUV400 EV will carry forward the exterior design of the eXUV300 concept that was first unveiled at AutoExpo 2020. The XUV400 EV is slightly longer than the eXUV300, with its expected length being 4.2m. The size increase will translate to larger boot space. The boomerang-shaped front LEDs are identical to those seen on eXUV300. The LED bulbs from the concept will be replaced with more practical bulbs.
Similar to the concept, the XUV400 EV will feature a shut-off front grille. It will, however, come with a small air dam at the bottom, which was also shut off in the concept design. The alloy wheels seem to have been redesigned, with the rear tail lamps getting a design tweak as well.
The Mahindra XUV400 EV will be underpinned by SsangYong’s X100 platform, which is also seen on the XUV300 compact SUV. Mahindra has already revealed that it will source the battery pack from LG Chem. While more details are yet to be revealed, we expect a power of 150hp and over 400km of range from the NMC cell powered battery pack.
