Jawa Yezdi Motorcycles have launched the new Jawa 42 Bobber in India at a starting price of Rs 2.05 lakh. This makes the Jawa 42 Bobber the most affordable bobber motorcycle in the Indian market. It has been made available in three variants, with the only distinguishing feature being the colour scheme. The highest placed dual-tone variant will cost Rs 2.09 lakh. The Jawa 42 Bobber shares a lot of its aesthetic and mechanical configuration with the Perak while bringing some elements of its own.

Jawa 42 Bobber: Design, Specs, and Engine

Cosmetically, the Jawa 42 Bobber looks heavily inspired by the flagship offering Perak. It features the signature bobber look with a low-slung profile and a single seat. As the name suggests, the bobber profile is fused with the roadster look of the Jawa 42. The fuel tank, lighting, and exhaust unit are a departure from the Perak profile.

The Bobber features knee recesses on the fuel tanks along with a helpful pair of pads to add to the comfort of the rider and provide a better grip. The fender and side panels receive a gloss-black finish. The single seat is two-way adjustable as well. The rear end features a luggage rack while there are new handlebars at the front. The Jawa 42 Bobber received a new round headlamp and updated instrumentation as well.

Powering the Jawa 42 Bobber is a 334cc single-cylinder engine that produces a maximum power of 30.64hp and 32.64Nm peak torque. This engine is paired with a 6-speed gearbox. The flagship Jawa Perak is also powered by the same engine. The suspension and ABS have been updated as well to provide better comfort and safety to the rider.
