HOP Electric Mobility unveils new OXO Electric Motorcycle

India has been witnessing growth in the EV market and is catching up with the rest of the world. With the launch of two new variants by HOP Electric Mobility, the grip of the electric motorcycle segment is increasing its foothold in the country. 

The Jaipur-based firm has debuted in the electric motorcycle sector with two variants to choose from — HOP OXO and HOP OXO X. Their price range is similar to leaders of this segment such as OLA, TVS, Ather, which they wish to rival and make a dent in the market.

Everything to know about the electric HOP OXO and OXO X

HOP OXO starts at Rs 1.25 lakh (ex-showroom), with the top-spec OXO X priced at Rs 1.40 lakh (ex-showroom). The eager customers who take a shine to them can buy them from their nearest HOP Electric dealership or through their official website, with deliveries starting from 1st October 2022.

The company offers a standard warranty of 3-year/50,000 km on the OXO, whereas the OXO X gets a 4-year unlimited km warranty. Keeping up with the times the company has offered these variants with touches of modern tinkering starting with, 4G connectivity, multi-mode regenerative braking, an app with features like an Anti-theft system, speed control, geo-fencing and ride stats and a 5-inch information display with IP67 rating for the rainy days, get it?

HOP OXO also boasts three distinct ride modes. These include Eco, Power and Sport with Turbo mode being the fourth mode on the top HOP OXO X variant. At their heart sits a 3.75 kWh lithium-ion battery powering a 6,200 Watt peak power motor, producing a 200 Nm torque. A claim of a real-world range of 150 km per charge. In Turbo mode, the HOP OXO X has a top speed of 90 kmph, with a dash from 0-40 km in 4 seconds. To charge the Indian prancing horses you can use any 16 Amp power socket using a portable smart charger. It takes 4 hours to get it charged from 0 to 80%.
