Nissan India has announced the prices for the two new offerings in the Nissan Magnite lineup. Prices for the automatic variants of the Magnite start at Rs 6.50 lakh and go up to Rs 8.90 lakh for the top-spec XV Premium edition. Meanwhile, the ‘Kuro’ Edition of the compact SUV starts at Rs 8.27 lakh and goes up to Rs 10.46 lakh.

The Kuro Edition of the Nissan Magnite gets an all-black theme for the exterior and the interior. The grille, skid plate, roof rails, alloy wheels, and headlamps on the SUV are blacked out. The ‘Kuro’ branding can be found on the body. Inside, the SUV gets a gloss black instrument panel, black interior accents, and black door trim inserts.
Nissan Magnite is available in two powertrain options. The 1.0-litre petrol engine generates a maximum power output of 72hp and 96Nm of torque. This engine is now available with a 5-speed AMT gearbox alongside the existing manual gearbox. Meanwhile, the 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine churns out a peak power output of 100hp and 160Nm of torque. This engine can be mated to a manual or CVT gearbox.
Rakesh Srivastava, Managing Director of Nissan Motor India commented on the pricing announcement, saying, “The Nissan Magnite KURO Special Edition is a combination of Style, Value and Safety with a strong value proposition. The special edition showcases our commitment to deliver to the changing aspirational needs and preferences of the discerning customers.”

Nissan Magnite is one of the safest compact SUVs in India, with a 4-star GNCAP rating. The Kuro Edition of the SUV can be booked for a token amount of Rs 11,000. In India, Nissan Magnite rivals the likes of the Kia Sonet, Hyundai Venue, Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV300, Tata Punch, and Maruti Suzuki Brezza.
