New Mahindra XUV500 2022 Spied Upon: Likely To Come With ADAS

The Indian multinational auto manufacturer Mahindra Group has got quite some plans for 2022. Teasers from its ‘Born Electric Vision’ lineup of SUV electric vehicles (upcoming in July this year) have already been doing the rounds of the internet. What is also eagerly awaited this year is the welcoming of the Mahindra XUV500 2022. Yes, Mahindra is all set to bring back its XUV500 nameplate this year. Apart from this, renders of Mahindra Scorpio 2022 and Mahindra XUV300 have also been leaked online, giving us a good peek into Mahindra’s fast pacing plans for the future.

Mahindra XUV500, which had served its customers within the Indian markets for almost a decade, had been discontinued after the arrival of XUV700 in the Mahindra family. The new Mahindra XUV500 2022 is expected to be smaller than its current-generation model. It will compete with C-segment SUVs and will be equipped with a lot of features, especially on the safety front, including the ADAS module. It will be seen competing with Hyundai Creta, Tata Harrier, Kia Seltos along with the latest entrants in this segment.

The all-new Mahindra XUV500 2022 is likely to offer a 5 to 7 seater layout. It is expected to be powered with the same 2.0L turbo petrol engine and a 2.2L diesel engine as that of the Thar. Speaking of its transmissions options, a 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic transmission may be provided with both of its engine variations offered. Interior-wise, the SUV might come with a dashboard layout similar to that of its sibling, the 2022 Mahindra XUV 700. However, it is expected to miss out on some premium features of the same. 

The price of the Mahindra XUV 500 2021 model fell in the range of Rs 12 to 20 lakhs. The new Mahindra XUV500 2022 price in India is expected to be in the range of Rs 12 to 17 lakhs ex-showroom and is expected to go on sale by mid-2022.
