Audi Q3: Design, Engine, and Variant details

In terms of exterior design, the Audi Q3 is quite similar to the higher-placed Q7. The next-gen Q3 is also a visibly bigger vehicle than its predecessor and rests on Volkswagen’s MQB platform. The front grille sports an octagonal design, giving it a menacing look. The LED DRLs and headlamps have been redesigned for the next-gen Q3 as well. The side profile reveals a more pronounced shoulder line and new 18-inch alloy wheels.

Inside, the Audi Q3 goes through massive changes and looks completely different from its predecessor. The dashboard design has been updated to match the newer Audi models. This means the new 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system is now integrating into the dashboard instead of being a free-floating unit. The Q3 has also been refreshed with new interior highlights like aluminium detailing on the dashboard and door handles.

Under the hood, the Audi Q3 gets a 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo petrol engine that produces a maximum power of 190hp and 320Nm peak torque. This engine is mated to a 7-speed DCT gearbox that channels the power to all four wheels. The SUV can go from 0-100kmph in 7.3 seconds. The Q3 does not get an option of a diesel engine.

The key features of the two variants on offer are detailed below.
