Audi has launched the next-generation Audi Q3 in India at a starting price of Rs 44.89 lakh. The midsize SUV will be made available in two variants – Premium Plus and Technology. Audi Q3 makes its way to India after 2 years, with the global launch taking place back in 2019. The higher-spec Technology variant is priced at Rs 50.39 lakh. In terms of exterior design, the Audi Q3 is quite similar to the higher-placed Q7. The next-gen Q3 is also a visibly bigger vehicle than its predecessor and rests on Volkswagen’s MQB platform. The front grille sports an octagonal design, giving it a menacing look. The LED DRLs and headlamps have been redesigned for the next-gen Q3 as well. The side profile reveals a more pronounced shoulder line and new 18-inch alloy wheels.

Inside, the Audi Q3 goes through massive changes and looks completely different from its predecessor. The dashboard design has been updated to match the newer Audi models. This means the new 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system is now integrating into the dashboard instead of being a free-floating unit. The Q3 has also been refreshed with new interior highlights like aluminium detailing on the dashboard and door handles.

Under the hood, the Audi Q3 gets a 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo petrol engine that produces a maximum power of 190hp and 320Nm peak torque. This engine is mated to a 7-speed DCT gearbox that channels the power to all four wheels. The SUV can go from 0-100kmph in 7.3 seconds. The Q3 does not get an option of a diesel engine.

The Audi Q3 is available in five colour options: Pulse Orange, Glacier White, Chronos Grey, Mythos Black, and Navarra Blue. Bookings for the Q3 have been open since the start of August with the token amount set at Rs 2 lakh. Audi is also offering additional incentives like an Extended Warranty and Comprehensive Service Package for the first 500 customers. The Audi Q3 will rival Mercedes-Benz GLA, BMW X1, and Volvo XC40.
