Maruti Suzuki Swift S-CNG: Engine, Mileage, and more

The Swift S-CNG does not receive any cosmetic upgrade and will carry forward the same exteriors and design as the ICE-powered model. The VXI variant is priced at Rs 7.77 lakh while the ZXI variant costs Rs 8.45 lakh.

The Maruti Suzuki Swift S-CNG is powered by the same 1.2-litre four-cylinder naturally aspirated engine that produces a maximum power of 77hp and 98.5Nm torque. This is slightly lower than the ICE-powered engine which produces a maximum power of 89hp and 113Nm torque. The Swift S-CNG comes with a 5-speed manual gearbox with no automatic options available. Maruti Suzuki claims the Swift S-CNG can provide a mileage of 30.90km/kg.

Introducing the Swift S-CNG, Mr Shashank Srivastava, Senior Executive Officer (Marketing & Sales), Maruti Suzuki India Limited said, “Brand Swift needs no introduction and the iconic sporty hatchback is now available with proven & tested company-fitted Maruti Suzuki S-CNG technology. After enthralling over 26 lakh Swift lovers with its performance, styling and road presence, Swift is now available with S-CNG to delight customers with its incredible fuel efficiency of 30.90 Km/kg# . This will be the 9th model in our portfolio with CNG offering, strengthening our commitment to a cleaner and greener environment. Swift has carved a niche for itself in the hearts and minds of the customers, it has continuously evolved and has maintained its persona as the most successful hatchback in the Indian market. The Swift S-CNG is the right proposition for customers, looking for a peppy yet economical city drive.”

Like other CNG offerings from Maruti, the Maruti Suzuki Swift S-CNG comes with dual independent Electronics Control Unit (ECU) and an intelligent injection system to provide an air-fuel ratio that ensures superior performance with better savings. The stainless steel pipes and joints avoid corrosion and any kind of leakage within the entire CNG structure.
