Honda Dio Sports Limited Edition Launched at Rs 68,000

Honda India has launched a limited edition of its bestselling scooter Dio. The limited edition model has been named Dio Sports and will be available in two variants – Standard and Deluxe. The Standard variant is priced at Rs 68,317 while the Deluxe variant will cost Rs 73,317.

With Dio Sports, Honda seeks to make the scooter more marketable to a younger audience. The graphics along the body panels are snappier than the ones on the regular Dio. Dio Sports comes in two new colour schemes as well – Strontium Silver Metallic with Black and Sports Red with Black. These colour schemes will be available on both variants. The rear cushion spring comes in red colour on Dio Sports limited edition. The Deluxe variants receive five-spoke alloy wheels.

Honda Dio Sports: What’s new?

Apart from the alloy wheels, there are no mechanical changes on the Honda Dio Sports edition. It will be powered by the same 110cc single-cylinder petrol engine found on the regular Dio. This engine can produce 7.65 bhp power and a maximum torque of 9Nm. Like the regular model, Honda Dio Sports will be offered with a dual function switch, an external fuel lid, and a side stand indicator. On top of that, it will also receive a combi brake system (CBS) and a 3-Step Eco Indicator for better fuel efficiency. It will also come with a LED headlamp and digital instrument cluster.

As mentioned earlier, prices for the Honda Dio Sports limited edition will start at Rs 68,317 for the Standard variant, going up to Rs 73,317 for the Deluxe variant. The LED DRLs and alloy wheels are only offered on the Deluxe variant. The Honda Dio Sports will compete with Hero Pleasure+, TVS Scooty Zest 110, TVS Jupiter 110, and Honda Activa.
