Toyota Innova HyCross: New trim details

Currently, the Toyota Innova HyCross is offered in five trims – G, GX, VX, ZX, and ZX(O). Like the HyRyder, the strong hybrid configuration is only available with the top-spec trims (VX, ZX, and ZX(O). The G and GX trims get a 2.0-litre petrol engine. The new entry-level trim will get this engine as well and will come in 7 and 8 people seating options. Toyota is also offering the Innova HyCross to fleet buyers.

Inside, the MPV comes with a multi-layered dashboard setup with a 10.1-inch floating touchscreen infotainment system equipped with smartphone mirroring and connected car tech. There’s also an option of a dual-tone interior theme or an all-black theme. As mentioned earlier, the MPV is available in 7 and 8-person seating options.

When it comes to safety, the Innova HyCross gets Toyota’s ADAS package, dubbed the Toyota Safety Sense. This package includes safety features like Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB), Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Lane Departure Alert (LDA), Automatic High Beam (AHB), and Road Sign Assist (RSB). Toyota Innova HyCross also gets wireless charging, a 360-degree camera, a panoramic sunroof, ambient lighting, climate control, cruise control, individual digital screens for rear passengers, and much more.

The 2.0-litre petrol engine that does duty on the HyCross produces a maximum power output of 152hp and 187Nm torque. This engine is paired with fifth-gen strong hybrid tech (M20A FXS) and can produce a combined power of 186hp. The non-hybrid variants of the HyCross produce 174hp and 197Nm. Both engine variants will be paired to an automatic gearbox. There is no option for a manual transmission. The HyCross offers a mileage of 21.2 kmpl, as claimed by Toyota.
