The new Hyundai Creta facelift has finally arrived in India. Prices for the facelifted model start at Rs 11 lakh and go up to Rs 20 lakh for the top-spec variant. Creta is one of the most popular cars in the hyper-competitive midsize SUV segment. With the competition rising every year, it is about time the Creta got an update. The new Hyundai Creta facelift features a wider grille up front and an upright nose. Running across the top of the grille is a sleek LED light that merges into the L-shaped fragmented DRLs. The LED headlamps are housed in the bumper. The new grille gets chrome, aluminium, and piano black highlights. At the back, the tail lamps follow the design language of the DRLs and are connected by a light bar. Apart from a new design for the alloy wheels, the profile of the SUV remains the same.
Significant changes have been made to the interior of the Hyundai Creta facelift as well. The dashboard is integrated with a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system and another 10.25-inch display for the digital instrument cluster. Right below the infotainment system lies a newly designed console for the dual-zone climate control system. There are physical buttons on this console which control other aspects of the SUV as well.
The biggest highlight of the new Hyundai Creta facelift is its new Level 2 ADAS package which contains 19 features. These features include Forward Collison Warning & Avoidance Assist, Blind-Spot View Monitor, Blind Spot Collison Warning & Avoidance Assist, Lane Keeping Assist, Lane Departure Warning, Driver Attention Warning, and more. Other features include a dual-zone climate control system, an air purifier, a Bose sound system, a 360-degree camera, an electronic parking brake, USB Type-C ports for the rear passengers, and more.
Things remain the same under the hood as the Hyundai Creta facelift continues to be powered by the 115hp producing 1.5-litre diesel and petrol engines. It also gets a 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine that produces a maximum power output of 160hp. This engine replaces the 1.4-litre turbo petrol engine that was discontinued on the existing Creta. All three engines can be mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox or a 7-speed DCT.

The addition of the Level 2 ADAS package and styling updates will be crucial to the Creta’s popularity in the midsize SUV segment which is already seeing new releases every couple of months. Hyundai’s midsize locks horns with the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Toyota Urban Cruiser HyRyder, Kia Seltos, Volkswagen Taigun, Honda Elevate, Citroen C3 Aircross, and Skoda Kushaq.
