Comparison: Volvo XC60 Vs Audi Q5

Premium SUVs really are great all-rounders in the car world, providing you practical space, comfort and deliver great performance, all at the same time. And if you were planning to buy Volvo XC60 or the Audi Q5 here is a comparison of the two for you.

Engine:

Both SUVs have a powerful engine Volvo XC60 that comes with a 1,969 cc, Four-cylinder twin turbo-charged Petrol engine that is capable of producing 250bhp and a peak torque of 350 Nm when coupled with its automatic 8-speed gearbox. Whereas the 1,984 cc 2.0L TFSI Turbocharged I4 engine combined with a 7-speed automatic gearbox on the Audi is quicker, producing 370 Nm of torque.

Mileage on both SUVs is around 13.5 km/l.

Summary: The engine on Audi is quicker and will help in cutting through the city traffic, on the other hand, XC60 will feel more smooth and relaxed while driving.

Interior and Exterior design:

The Audi Q5 does look and feel like every other Audi and does not stand out much. However, the car does offer a good amount of space inside the cabin to make your rides comfortable. The interior of the Audi is also solid and practical.

On the other hand, the Volvo XC60 does look more eye-catching with its Thor-hammer shaped headlamps. The interior on the XC60 looks very minimalistic and clean, with a big vertical touch screen infotainment system. Over the back seat of XC60, you get two AC vents one on the centre of the car and on both B-Pillar of the car.

Summary: The design is a topic that is very subjective. So, choosing one car over the other is in your hand.

Features:

The Audi Q5 45 TFSI Premium Plus trim comes along with many interesting and useful set of features that includes – 4 way manually adjustable rear seats,12 way electrically adjustable front row seats, 8 Airbags, Traction Control, Hill Hold Control, Brake assists, ABS with EBD, and leather upholstery.

On the other hand, the XC60 B5 Inception also comes packed with features that include- Brake assists, ABS with EBD, Ride Height adjustment, and Hill Descent Control

Summary: The category goes to Audi Q5 which offers the same features as Volvo XC60 but costs you a little less.

Pricing: The Ex-Showroom Price (Delhi) of Volvo XC60 B5 Inception is Rs 60.9 lakhs and the Ex-Showroom price (Delhi) for the Audi Q5 45 TFSI Premium Plus will be Rs 58.93 lakhs.
