BMW X5 xDrive 30d M Sport launched in India

BMW has added a new trim to the X5 series, called the M Sport. The BMW X5 xDrive 30d M Sport will now be the top-spec BMW on offer. According to certain reports, the M Sport will be replacing the xLine. The BMW X5 M Sport will be priced at Rs 97.9 lakh. Bookings are now open at all BMW outlets and the official BMW website.

BMW X5 xDrive 30d M Sport: What’s new?

The X5 M Sport receives a few upgrades on the exterior, compared to the other SUVs in the series. This includes a new front bumper, rear diffuser, tailpipes and brake callipers. The M Sport branding has been seamlessly integrated into the design with an M Sport logo on the side profile, M Sport-specific car key, and blue-coloured brake callipers.

Inside, the BMW X5 M Sport gets some additional features too. The steering wheel comes equipped with paddle shifters and gets a leather finish, and other features like launch control, adaptive air suspension, electrically operated tailgate, and, laser light LED headlamps are also present. On top of that, the BMW X5 M Sport also gets a Harman Kardon 16-speaker sound unit, 360-degree camera, leather upholstery, Head-Up display, BMW display key, and 20-inch M-spec alloy wheels.

Under the hood, the BMW X5 M Sport will retain the same engine as the rest of the line. The 3.0-litre, six-cylinder, turbocharged diesel engine generates a maximum power of 260bhp and 620Nm torque. This engine is mated to an 8-speed automatic gearbox that sends power to all four wheels through the xDrive system.

The BMW X5 M Sport, priced at Rs 97.9 lakh replaces the xLine as the highest-priced BMW SUV in the Indian market. The BMW X5 M Sport will rival Mercedes-Benz GLE, Land Rover Discovery, and Volvo XC90.
