TVS Ntorq 125 Race Edition launched in Philippines

Indian two-wheeler manufacturer, TVS Motor Company, has launched the TVS Ntorq 125 Race Edition in the Philippines. The scooter was launched at the Makina Auto Show in the Philippines. The ‘Race Edition’ of the Ntorq comes with signature LED headlamps and LED DRLs. It also gets exclusive ‘Race Edition’ branding.

TVS Ntorq 125 Race Edition: Everything you need to know

The TVS NTorq 125 Race Edition stands at dimensions of 1,861 x 710 x 1,164 mm with a wheelbase of 1,285 mm. Apart from the signature LED headlamps and DRLs, the scooter also gets hazard lamps up front. These lamps can be controlled by a hazard switch. Chequered flag design can be found on the body panels along with the ‘Race Edition’ branding. The Ntorq sits on diamond-cut alloy wheels. 

TVS Ntorq 125 Race Edition is powered by a 124.8cc single-cylinder, 4-stroke engine that can produce a maximum power output of 9.38 PS @ 7,000 rpm and a peak torque of 10.5Nm @ 5,500. The Race Edition can achieve a top speed of 95kmph and can go from 0-60kmph in 9 seconds.

What makes the Ntorq popular among young riders is the feature list. The TVS Ntorq 125 Race Edition comes with the TVS Smart Xonnect app that lets the rider connect their smartphone to their scooter, unlocking a host of features. These 60+ features can be accessed from the digital instrument cluster. Other features include a pass-by switch, dual-side steering lock, parking brake and engine kill switch. On top of that, the TVS NTorq 125 Race Edition also gets an external fuel fill, USB charger, a large 20-litre under-seat storage and TVS patented EZ centre stand.

The scooter is built on a rich pedigree of four decades of TVS Racing and the Race Edition is a celebration of the same. Today, over 1.4 million global consumers are proud ‘NTORQians’ and with the launch of race edition, we are confident of growing this tribe from strength to strength.”

He further added, “The launch of TVS NTORQ 125 has been received very well in Philippines. The scooter has become an immediate favourite and we are sure the new Race Edition will further find acceptance from the customers seeking an element of thrill and performance.”

Conclusion

TVS Ntorq 125 Race Edition is available in a three-tone colour combination of matte black, metallic black, and metallic red colour. A yellow shade has been made available too. TVS added a Marine Blue colour to the Ntorq 125 Race Edition lineup in India last year, it remains to be seen whether it will be offered in Philippines as well. In India, the Ntorq 125 Race Edition rivals Honda Activa 125, Grazia 125, Avenis 125, Hero Maestro Edge 125, Suzuki Access 125, and Yamaha‘s Fascino and Ray ZR.
