Toyota Urban Cruiser Ebella EV: What’s on offer?

The Ebella EV stands at dimensions of 4,285mm x 1,800mm x 1,640mm and has a 2,700mm wheelbase. It is a rebaged version of the Maruti Suzuki e Vitara, but it distinguishes itself with a completely reworked front fascia. The sleek shut-off front grille is flanked on either side by triangular LED headlamps integrated with segmented eyebrow-style LED DRLs. Toyota calls it the ‘hammerhead’ design language. The dual-tone front bumper has air vents on either side. The profile of the two electric SUVs is identical, apart from the alloy wheel design. At the back, both offerings have similar LED headlamps connected by a light bar.

Inside, the Urban Cruiser Ebella packs a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a 10.1-inch digital driver’s display. There’s support for wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The interior layout of the EV is identical to the e Vitara. This includes the black-and-brown dual-tone colour theme. Other features of the EV include a panoramic sunroof, ambient lighting with 12 colour options, ventilated front seats, wireless charging, a JBL sound system, keyless entry, push-start, drive mode switch, automatic climate control, an in-cabin air purifier, and more.

When it comes to safety, Toyota’s midsize electric SUV packs 7 airbags, Vehicle Stability Control, ABS, EBD, ESP, a 360° camera, parking sensors, ISOFIX, over-speed and stagger warnings, an electric rear defogger, and more features. Its Level 2 ADAS package includes functions like Automatic Emergency Braking, Lane Keep Assist, Blind Spot Monitor, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Adaptive Cruise Control, and more.

Buyers can choose between 2 battery pack options for the Ebella EV – 49kWh and 61kWh. The 49kWh battery pack is only available with the E1 trim. The front-mounted electric motor powering this variant generates a maximum power output of 144hp and 193Nm of torque. The E2 and E3 trims are also powered by a front-mouted electric motor, but they produce an improved power output of 171hp. Their torque output is identical to the E1 variant. The 49kWh battery pack has a 440km driving range, while the 61kWh variants can go up to 543km on a full charge.
