TVS Apache RTR 160 2V with ABS launched in Bangladesh

TVS Motors has launched the TVS Apache RTR 160 2V in Bangladesh. The model remains mechanically and cosmetically unchanged but will come with an updated ABS. TVS claims the ABS unit on the TVS Apache RTR series has been developed with a special algorithm, extensively derived out of the racing track. This advanced technology allows the rider to find the quickest line around the corner without losing any speed. 

Speaking on the occasion, Mr Rahul Nayak, Vice President, International Business, TVS Motor Company, said, “We are delighted to introduce ABS in TVS Apache RTR 160 2V in Bangladesh. The riders can fully enjoy the capabilities of their TVS Apache 160 2V and experience superior levels of safety and stability with the ABS technology. TVS Apache RTR 160: What’s on offer?

The Apache RTR 160 features beast-inspired headlamps that produce an intense and raw gaze. The digital display is designed with race-inspired carbon fibre cues, with the speedometer sporting a distinct blue-backlit display. The race-inspired extends to the graphics along the body panels and the fuel tank. 

The TVS Apache RTR 160 2V is powered by the RTR oversquare engine, and sports a 159.7 cc, single-cylinder, 4-stroke, air-cooled, 2-valve engine that delivers 14.14 PS of maximum power at 8,000 rpm and 13.03 Nm of peak torque at 6,750 rpm. The motor is paired to a five-speed gearbox. 

The braking equipment remains unchanged as well, with a 270mm petal disc brake at the front and a 130mm drum unit at the rear carrying out the braking duties. Suspension is handled by telescopic hydraulic dampers, with telescopic forks at the front and Monotube Inverted Gas-filled shox (MIG) with spring aid at the rear.

Conclusion

The TVS Apache RTR 160 2V will be made available in colour options of Pearl White, Matte Blue, Matte Red, Gloss Red, Gloss Black, and Grey. In India, the RTR 160 2V is available at a starting price of Rs 1.12 lakh. TVS has not revealed the price of the Apache RTR 160 2V in Bangladesh.
