Honda Activa H-Smart variant launched at Rs 80,537

Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India has added a new variant to Activa 6G’s lineup. The new 2023 Honda Activa H-Smart variant has been priced at Rs 80,537 and comes with a host of smart connectivity features. Honda has also updated the prices of the Standard and Deluxe trims of the two-wheeler, which now cost Rs 74,536 and Rs 77,036 respectively.

Honda Activa H-Smart: What’s new?

While the Honda Activa H-Smart variant remains mostly unchanged when it comes to cosmetics and engine, it brings new connectivity features to Activa’s lineup. The ‘Honda Smart Key’ incorporates Smart Find, Smart Unlock, Smart Start, Smart Safe features in its system. The ‘Smart Find’ feature helps you locate your Activa by blinking all 4 winkers twice. 

The ‘Smart Unlock’ feature makes it possible to lock and unlock the Activa without using a physical key. If no activity is detected within 20 seconds of enabling smart unlock, the scooter automatically gets deactivated. With ‘Smart Start’ the rider can use the Honda Smart Key to remotely start the vehicle when they are within a 2-metre range. By simply rotating the knob on the Lock Mod to the ignition position and pushing the start button, the vehicle can be started without even taking out the physical key.

The new Honda Activa H-Smart variant comes equipped with Mapped Smart ECU which acts as a security device by electronically matching (ID) between the ECU and SMART Key, therefore preventing vehicle theft. The smart key has an immobilizer system which prevents a non-registered key from starting the engine. Without a secure connection with Smart Key, Immobilizer System is not activated.

Commenting on the launch of Activa 2023, Mr Yogesh Mathur, Operating Officer, Sales & Marketing, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India said, “Being the Front Runner in Technology, HMSI has always delighted customers by providing convenience and comfort in their daily lives. In the past as well, HMSI is known for raising the bar with many technological innovations in its products like – Enhanced Smart Power (eSP) technology, double lid external fuel opening system and Combi Brake System (CBS). We are here yet again with another first in segment feature for a two-wheeler – Honda Smart Key in Activa 2023.”

Conclusion

Apart from the smart connectivity features, the new Honda Activa H-Smart variant also gets new alloy wheels and a longer wheelbase. It also gets a new passing switch and a DC LED headlamp. Honda Activa H-Smart is also Honda’s first OBD2-compliant scooter in India. Deliveries for the new Activa will commence by the end of this month. The new Honda Activa H-Smart will rival TVS Jupiter and TVS Ntorq.
