2022 KTM 390 Adventure Officially Launched In India: Everything You Need To Know

The all-new 2022 KTM 390 Adventure motorbike has been officially launched by the brand for the Indian markets. The updated version of the adventure tourer comes with a few tweaks in its styling and hardware. It will be competing against Royal Enfield Himalayan, Scram 411, Yezdi Adventure and other such adventure motorbikes in its segment. The latest 2022 KTM 390 Adventure model already made its debut in the US markets earlier this year in January.

The all-new ADV comes with more or less similar exterior features in terms of styling as its outgoing model. It continues to feature a split LED headlight design, a windscreen with air deflectors, a muscular fuel tank, split-style seats, a side-slung exhaust, and 19-inch front and 17-inch rear alloy wheels. However, the 2022 KTM 390 Adventure offers two new paint schemes, a grey-black and a blue one, both with orange accents and graphics.

The updates in the 2022 KTM 390 Adventure motorbike include new tank shrouds, wider rear side panels, reduced front headlamp bezel along with a customized fuel tank shape to provide more freedom and control to the rider’s movements. Speaking on the front of electronic equipment, the new KTM 390 ADV now comes with two levels of traction control, Off-road and Street.

Apart from that, the motorcycle carries forward the same set of equipment as seen in its predecessor. These include LED lighting, a standard 12V charging port, and a coloured TFT instrument display with smartphone connectivity and navigation features.

In terms of hardware, slight changes have been introduced to the all-new ADV. The alloy wheels now come with 5 spokes instead of 6, which is said to make them sturdier than before. The suspension and braking system of the bike has been kept the same by the Austrian bike manufacturer. It comes sporting non-adjustable inverted front forks, a WP Apex rear mono-shock, and single disc brakes at both ends along with dual-channel ABS.

The powertrain options of the 2022 KTM 390 Adventure haven’t undergone any uplifts. It retains its Euro5 BS6-compliant 373.2cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled motor. The engine delivers 42.3 bhp at 9,000rpm and 37Nm of peak torque at 7,000rpm. The India-spec model comes with a 6-speed gearbox and gets a bi-directional quick-shifter as standard.

The 2022 KTM 390 Adventure price in India starts from Rs 3,28,500 (ex-showroom, India).
