Bajaj Pulsar N160 Spied Upon: Looks Sporty

The latest upcoming addition to the upgraded Bajaj Pulsar lineup is speculated to be the all-new Bajaj Pulsar N160, which has been spotted testing in Pune recently. The fact that the brand is revamping its Pulsar range of motorbikes lies hidden no more. The news comes just after the upcoming model of Pulsar 125 was recently spied upon. The test mule of the N160 motorbike, which wasn’t camouflaged, looked sportier but like a scaled-down version of the Pulsar N250, possibly an N160.

According to reports, this new Pulsar model is expected to come with a smaller engine displacement, and hence is being referred to as an N160 model. The spied motorbike looked a lot like its N250 sibling. The features highlighting the similarity included its wheel design, box-section swingarm, a single-piece handlebar, the tail section, signature taillamps and the overall body styling. However, one of the differentiating factors was its smaller-sized engine which sports an underbelly exhaust unit.

The all-new Bajaj Pulsar N160 seems to be built on the same chassis as the Pulsar 250cc models. This is pretty evident from its similar-looking frame, telescopic front fork, body panels and a rear mono-shock that it sports. Speaking of its mechanical specs, there seems to be a possibility that the brand introduces a new engine in line with its Bajaj N250 and F250 models.

The current Bajaj Pulsar NS160 is powered by a 160cc single-cylinder oil-cooled engine that pumps out 17.03bhp and 14.6Nm of peak torque. The engine of the new Baja Pulsar N160 comes with a kick-starter as well, which is pretty uncommon in today’s times. The new motorbike seems to be riding on 17-inch alloy wheels. Its front and rear tyres, which appear skinnier, again point out its lower-spec underpinnings. Disc brakes at both ends carry out the braking duties while an ABS ring with a likely single-channel unit complements them both.

The Bajaj Pulsar N160 price in India is expected to be around Rs 1.2 lakhs (ex-showroom), in line with that of the Pulsar NS160.
