The Toyota Urban Cruiser HyRyder has been updated with a new ‘Aero Black’ edition. The special edition styling kit is available with the Midnight Black colour variants of the G(O) and V trims only. It demands a premium of Rs 31,999. Prices for the Aero Black edition start at Rs 15.19 lakh. It is available in petrol and strong hybrid powertrains.

The Aero Black styling kit offers a range of cosmetic enhancements for the Urban Cruiser HyRyder. The front grille, headlamps, and tailgate receive a chrome garnish. The silver trim on the front bumper has been blacked out. The rear spoiler now exudes a sporty look. The special edition model comes with exclusive ‘Aero Black’ badging. Buyers can also opt for an all-black package at an additional cost.
No changes have been made inside the SUV. The HyRyder continues with a 9.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a digital instrument cluster. It supports wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Other features include an 8-way adjustable driver’s seat, a rear door sunshade, ambient lighting, ventilated front seating, 15W fast-charging USB Type-C ports, wireless charging, LED spot and reading lamps, a 360-degree camera, an AQI display, and more.
No changes have been made under the hood, either. The Aero Black edition is powered by the same 1.5L K15C petrol engine as the standard model. This engine generates a maximum power output of 101hp and 135Nm of torque. In a strong hybrid setup, this engine produces 91hp and 122Nm, with the electric motor adding an additional 79hp and 141Nm. The CNG powertrain produces 88hp and 121.5Nm.

Final Thoughts
Toyota has specified that the Aero Black edition will be produced in limited numbers. The offer period is valid until stock lasts. The midsize SUV rivals the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Volkswagen Taigun, Honda Elevate, Citroen C3 Aircross, and Skoda Kushaq in India.
