The much-awaited SUV Skoda Kushaq Monte Carlo Edition is finally here in the country. Skoda Auto India launched the compact SUV today, with black design elements. The Kushaq Monte Carlo Edition is said to be based on the top-spec Style variant of the car model.
The new Skoda Kushaq Monte Carlo Edition features exterior elements which have black finishings, such as the front grille, ORVMs, skid plates, roof rails and brand engravings. The all-new SUV comes riding on newly designed 17-inch alloy wheels. Another significant change visible in the car is the Monte Carlo badging on its front fenders in place of the Skoda badge.
Speaking of the Skoda Kushaq Monte Carlo interiors, it features a dual-tone black and red cabin theme. The dashboard comes with Ruby Red inserts and so does the centre console, door pads as well as seat upholstery. Ambient lighting provided at the front passenger seat is also in red. The digital instrument console gets an 8-inch Skoda Virtual Cockpit with a red theme, while the vehicle gets a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system. The system also supports Skoda Play Apps.
The all-new Skoda Kushaq Monte Carlo Edition is offered in two colours, namely Tornado Red and Candy White, while the roof comes in contrasting glossy Carbon Steel paint. An electric sunroof with anti-pinch technology comes as standard, too.
Coming to its mechanical specs, the Kushaq Monte Carlo powertrain options include a 1.5L four-cylinder TSI petrol engine and a 1.0L three-cylinder TSI petrol engine. The 1.5L engine delivers an output of 148bhp and 250Nm of torque while the 1.0L engine produces 114bhp and 178Nm of torque. The compact SUV comes with a six-speed manual, a six-speed torque converter automatic and a seven-speed DSG automatic unit as transmission options.
The all-new Skoda Kushaq Monte Carlo price in India starts from Rs 15.99 lakhs (ex-showroom).
