TI Clean Mobility enters the EV market with Montra Electric three-wheeler

TI Clean Mobility has stepped into the EV space in India with the launch of its three-wheeler, Montra Electric. A subsidiary of ‘Tube Investments of India’, TI Clean Mobility seeks to bring clean energy to the last-mile transportation sector in India – something that is still very ICE reliant. The Montra Electric is manufactured in TI Clean Mobility’s facility in Ambattur, Chennai and will be launched in phases across India, starting from the South.

Montra Electric Three-Wheeler: The Essentials

With Montra Electric, TI Clean Mobility offers distinct looks, powerful performance, and robust build quality. The three-wheeler is powered by a 10kWh battery pack and can deliver a top speed of 55kmph along with 60Nm peak torque. Economical buyers will be pleased to know that Montra Electric offers a superior range of 197km (ARAI Certified) and a 155+/-5km Typical Range. 

The three-wheeler is also equipped with multiple drive modes that strike a good balance between performance and range. On top of that, it also gets a Park Assist Mode for zipping past the city traffic. The double fork suspension offers a smooth and comfortable ride. Inside, the car-like driver’s seat and superior cushioning add to the comfort. TI Clean Mobility claims Montra Electric’s boot space to be category-defining, offering ample space to the driver as well as the passengers.

The OS is loaded with state-of-the-art apps that will serve the driver as and commuter alike. These apps will be functional in English as well as other local vernaculars. With Montra Electric, you also get digital financing, 24×7 roadside assistance, 2 year extended warranty option, and 3 year AMC.

The Montra Electric three-wheeler range starts at Rs 3.02 lakh for the soft top variant and goes up to Rs 3.10 lakh for the hard top variant and Rs 3.40 lakh for the long-range model. The three-wheeler will be made available in 100+ dealerships across India.
