New Maruti Wagon R 2022 Leaks Brochure: Variants and Features Revealed

Ahead of its launch scheduled for late March this year, the new Maruti Suzuki Wagon R 2022 leaked its brochure and revealed all its variants, features and specifications in detail. Among its most highlighted features are its stylish dual-tone interiors and exteriors, 12+ safety features that it provides, and an Advanced K-Series engine that it is powered with. 

The premium hatchback, with the tagline ‘Dil Se Strong’, comes with sturdy tall-boy looks and a sporty floating roof design. It comes in two dual-tone variants, namely Gallant Red with a black roof and ORVMs, and Magma Grey with a black roof and ORVMs. With a robust design language offering a wider stance comes its dynamic alloy wheels. Speaking of its interiors, spacious cabin space and legroom are offered with Modern Grey Melange fabric, which complements its double-tone interior and exterior schemes.

The new Maruti Wagon R 2022 facelift not only promises strong looks and comfort but also strong technology, performance and safety. A 7-inch Smartplay Studio infotainment system comes with smartphone navigation technology. A premium sound quality is offered via 4 speakers installed within the car. Its steering mounted controls and auto gear shift back up its promise of delivering technological strength. 

The 12+ safety features it offers include two airbags, a speed alert system, seat belt pre-tensioners, force limiters, seat belt reminders, rear parking sensors, hill hold assist and more. The hill-hold control is offered with the AGS variants only. Some more notable features that the new Wagon R 2022 comes with include body-coloured electrically adjustable and retractable ORVMs with indicators, rear wiper and washer, a roof antenna, premium allow wheels, remote keyless entry as well as reclining and front-sliding seats.

The brochures leaked also reveal the new Wagon R 2022 specifications. It comes with 2 engine variants. One is a 1.0L Next-Gen K-series and the other is a 1.2L Advanced K-Series Dual Jet Dual VVT engine with ISS (Idle Start/Stop technology). Both the engines are available in both manual (MT) and AGS (Auto Gear Shift) transmission options. The 1.0L engine comes in both petrol and CNG variants while the 1.2L engine comes with a petrol unit only. 

The New Maruti Wagon R 2022 price starts from Rs 5.39 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi), and goes up to Rs 7.10lakhs.
