Maruti Wagon R 2022 Facelift Launch Price Revealed

Auto giant Maruti Suzuki revealed the launch price of its brand-new car model,  the New Wagon R 2022 on Friday, 25th February 2022. The New Wagon R, which is expected to launch in late March 2022, is said to come back to the Indian markets in an “all-new-avatar”, receiving a mild facelift. The premium hatchback will now be seen sporting new stylish dual-tone exteriors and dynamic alloy wheels, apart from being powered by an Advanced K-Series engine. 

The new tagline Dil Se Strong promotes the strength of the all-new Maruti Suzuki WagonR’s character which lies at its heart. The brand promises strength in its looks, technology, performance and safety.

The New Wagon R comes with a robust design language, offering a wider stance and making it look sturdy. It will come with body-coloured door handles, bumpers and ORVMs along with optional dual-tone exteriors. Some more of its cool exterior features include electrically adjustable and retractable ORVMs with indicators, rear wiper and washer, a roof antenna and premium allow wheels. 

Giving you a peek of its inside, Maruti Wagon R 2022 will be fashioning dual-tone interiors, second-row 60:40 split seats, tilt steering and front passenger-side vanity mirrored sun visor. It’s Idle Start/Stop (ISS) technology, remote keyless entry, reclining and front-sliding seats along with a rear defogger amongst many more features promise to ensure comfort and convenience to all its occupants.

Speaking of its infotainment system, the new Wagon R 2022 comes with a 17.78cm (7-inch) Smartplay Studio with Smartphone Navigation. Installed with 4 speakers, the new hatchback comes with Steering Mounted Audio and Voice Control features. It also offers Apple Carplay and Android Auto. The Android Auto extends the Android platform into the car in a way that facilitates smooth driving. Among the many safety features that this Maruti WagonR 2022 model provides is a speed-sensitive auto door lock, two airbags, a speed alert system, seat belt pre-tensioners, force limiters and seat belt reminders along with rear parking sensors and hill hold assist.

The New Maruti Suzuki Wagon R comes with 2 engine variants, namely a 1.0L Next-Gen K-series and a 1.2L Advanced K-Series Dual Jet Dual VVT engine with ISS. The 1.0L engine is available in both manual (MT) and AGS (Auto Gear Shift) transmission options in both petrol and CNG variants while the 1.2L engine is available in AGS and MT options in only petrol variant. 

The New Wagon R 2022 by Maruti Suzuki comes at a starting price of Rs 5.39 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi), with the costliest model priced at Rs 7.10lakhs.
