Toyota Kirloskar Motor has updated the Urban Cruiser HyRyder SUV with new safety, comfort, and convenience features. A new V AT AWD variant has also been added to Toyota Urban Cruiser HyRyder’s lineup. The 6-speed automatic transmission replaces the 5-speed manual gearbox. The SUV is now dearer by Rs 20,000, with prices starting at Rs 11.34 lakh.

2025 Toyota Urban Cruiser HyRyder: What’s new?

In terms of safety updates, the MY2025 Toyota Urban Cruiser HyRyder gets 6 airbags as a standard feature across all variants. The Electronic Parking Brake (EPB) has been added to certain AT variants. The automaker has also made structural enhancements to the SUV for added safety.

When it comes to comfort and convenience features, the Toyota Urban Cruiser HyRyder gets an 8-way adjustable driver’s seat, a rear door sunshade, ambient lighting, ventilated front seating, 15W fast-charging USB Type-C ports, LED spot and reading lamps, AQI display, updated speedometer, and a Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS).

The V AWD variant of the Toyota Urban Cruiser HyRyder is now available with a 6-speed automatic transmission instead of a 5-speed manual gearbox. This is the only mechanical change on the SUV. It continues to be powered by Maruti Suzuki’s 1.5L K15C petrol engine. This engine can generate a maximum power output of 101hp and 135Nm of torque. The strong-hybrid variants sport a 1.5L engine with a Toyota Hybrid System. The petrol engine generates up to 91hp power with 122Nm of torque, with the electric motor producing up to 79hp power with 141Nm of torque. It is also equipped with a 177.6V lithium-ion battery. Toyota claims a mileage of 27.97 kmpl for the strong hybrid setup of the Urban Cruiser HyRyder.
