Tata Motors brings in the BS6 Phase II range of Nexon, Harrier, and more

Tata Motors has announced its BS6 Phase II compliant fleet which includes Tata Nexon, Harrier, Punch, Altroz, and more. Tata’s portfolio of cars will comply with the latest RDE and E20 norms. The deadline set by the Govt. of India is April 1. Tata Motors has also refreshed its portfolio across powertrain options of Petrol, Diesel & CNG with new features which will deliver enhanced safety, drivability, comfort & convenience.

Tata Motors completes BS6 Phase II transition, refreshes existing lineup

Apart from ushering in BS6 Phase II compliant engines for its fleet of cars, Tata Motors has also tuned the engines to offer better performance and efficiency. Tata Altroz and Punch now offer a smoother experience in lower gears, getting a boost to low-end driveability. The two cars also get Idle Stop/Start as standard across all variants, thereby increasing fuel efficiency.

Tata has decided to continue the diesel engines on Nexon and Altroz, upgrading their Revotorq diesel engines to comply with the new norms. The new RDE-compliant engines are more responsive and deliver a better performance. Among other changes, Tata Motors has added Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) to the Tiago and Tigor lineup. The interiors of the two cars have also been upgraded with a quieter cabin, lower NVH, and other new features.

Conclusion

Apart from the changes mentioned above, Tata has also increased the standard warranty across its portfolio from 2 years/75,000 km to 3 years/1 lakh km. In other news, the automaker hiked the prices for its most affordable EV, Tata Tiago, by Rs 20,000 after the introductory offer expired. Currently, Tata Motors is offering discounts of up to Rs 1.6 lakh on its flagship EV, Tata Nexon.
