The new Tata Harrier Special Edition will get new red accents along the exterior as well as inside the cabin. The grille up front will receive red inserts and the brake callipers will be accentuated with a red paint scheme as well. The front fenders will get a special edition badging as well. Inside, the Tata Harrier Special Editon get red leather upholstery and red door handles. In terms of feature upgrades, the Harrier Special Editon will get ventilated front seats and 6-way powered seats. Things remain the same under the hood as the SUV continues to be powered by the same 2.0L Kryotec turbocharged diesel engine. It delivers an output of 170ps and 350Nm of peak torque. It is coupled with a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission.

Back in September, it was also reported that Tata was in the initial stage of testing an EV variant of the Harrier. During this stage, it is determined whether the SUV performs up to the standard, following which the later testing stages are greenlit. Reports also suggest that Tata Punch EV is further ahead of the curve, in the advanced stages of testing. While there is no word on a definite launch timeline, we expect the Tata Harrier EV to be rolled out by mid to late 2023. The Tata Punch EV could also see a 2023 release.
