Skoda Kushaq Anniversary Edition to be launched at Rs 15.59 lakh

Skoda will launch the Anniversary Edition for the Skoda Kushaq at a starting price of Rs 15.59 lakh. The top-spec variant will fetch Rs 19.09 lakh. Skoda Kushaq made its debut in June 2021 and has been widely successful in the Indian market. Recently, the midsize SUV scored a five-star rating at the Global NCAP tests along with Volkswagen Taigun. Both midsize SUVs are jointly manufactured at VW’s facility near Pune.

Skoda Kushaq Anniversary Edition: What’s on offer?

Similar to the Volkswagen Taigun Anniversary Edition, the Kushaq too receives the ‘Anniversary Edition’ branding on the C-pillar and steering wheel. On top of that, the SUV receives new door edge protectors, upholstery stitching, and several chrome highlights. The SUV will rest on the same 17-inch alloy wheels as the Style variant. 

Mechanically, things remain unchanged as the Skoda Kushaq will carry forward the engine configuration of the Style variants. The 1.0-litre three-cylinder turbo petrol engine produces a maximum power of 115hp and 175Nm peak torque. This engine comes mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox or an automatic torque converter with paddle shifters. The 1.5-litre four-cylinder turbo petrol engine generates a maximum power of 150hp and 250Nm peak torque. This engine is paired with a 6-speed manual or 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. 

The Anniversary Edition of the Skoda Kushaq will also reintroduce the 10-inch touchscreen to the interiors which got replaced by the 8-inch screen on the regular variants due to global chip shortage. The infotainment system will come with a 6-speaker sound system and will have Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity. Other features include an electric sunroof, cruise control, wireless charging, an 8-inch driver’s display, six airbags, TPMS, and a rear parking camera.
