Volvo XC60, XC90, and S90: Check out the new prices

Prices for the Volvo XC60 now start at Rs 67.85 lakh. The S90 sedan and XC90 SUV are now priced at Rs 68.25 lakh and Rs 98.85 lakh respectively. The XC40 remains Volvo’s most affordable offering in India at Rs 46.40 lakh. This is not the first time that Volvo has increased the prices of its cars this year. Back in February, the automaker announced a 2% hike due to the rise in customs duty imposed by the GoI.

Volvo XC60 and S90 are powered by a 2.0-litre 4-cylinder turbo-petrol unit that produces a maximum power output of 250hp and 350Nm or torque. This engine also does duty on the XC90 where it produces a maximum power output of 300hp and 480Nm of torque. All three of these Volvo offerings get a mild hybrid system as well.

The newly launched Volvo C40 Recharge gets a dual electric motor that generates a maximum power output of 408hp and 660Nm of torque. The 78kWh battery pack on the C40 Recharge offers a driving range of 530km. This battery pack can be fully charged with a 150kW charger in just over 30 minutes.

Conclusion

Volvo has not announced the reason behind the price hike yet. In India, the Volvo XC60 rivals the BMW X3, Mercedes Benz GLC, and Audi Q5. Meanwhile, the S90 sedan rivals the Audi A6, Jaguar XF, Mercedes Benz E Class, and BMW 5 Series. The luxurious XC90 goes up against Land Rover Discovery, Mercedes Benz GLS, and BMW X7.
