Mahindra has finally launched its new compact SUV, Mahindra XUV300 TurboSport in India at a price of Rs 10.35 lakh. The higher variants will fetch all the way up to Rs 12.90 lakh. The SUV was first unveiled at AutoExpo 2020 with plans of launching in April 2020. However, it took Mahindra over 2 years to launch the SUV due to the semiconductor shortage caused by the pandemic. Mahindra XUV300 TurboSport: Everything you need to know

The Mahindra XUV300 TurboSport receives a host of changes, both inside and out. Along the front fascia, the TurboSport comes with a new gloss black grille with red accents and a blacked-out central air intake on the front bumper. The wing mirrors have been blacked out and the SUV gets the new Mahindra ‘Twin Peaks’ logo. The XUV300 TurboSport has been made available in four colour options, three of which are dual-tone schemes – bronze with black roof, white with black roof, black with white roof, and a monotone bronze colour.

Inside, the Mahindra XUV300 TurboSport features an all-black theme with red and silver highlights. This new theme replaces the dual-tone black and beige interiors on the existing lineup. The upholstery receives red stitching and the dashboard, centre console, and steering receive silver highlights.

Other features include an electric sunroof, projector headlamps, dual-zone climate control, and a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system. The SUV is also equipped with safety features like 6 airbags, front and rear parking sensors, all-wheel disc brakes, and hill assist.

Under the hood, the TurboSport receives the biggest upgrade of all in the form of a 1.2-litre three-cylinder, direct-injection, turbo petrol engine that can produce a maximum power of 131hp and 230Nm peak torque. This engine is paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox. This makes the XUV300 TurboSport the most powerful compact SUV in its category. The existing XUV300 lineup is powered by a 1.5-litre diesel engine that produces a maximum power of 115hp and a 1.2-litre petrol engine that generates 110hp.
