Tata Nexon gets a Pure+ PS trim, prices start at Rs 9.59 lakh

The Tata Nexon lineup has been updated with a new mid-spec Pure+ PS trim. It is positioned between the Pure+ S and Creative trims. With prices starting at Rs 9.59 lakh, it is the most affordable Nexon variant with a panoramic sunroof. The Nexon now becomes the only car in India under Rs 10 lakh to offer this feature. The Pure+ PS trim is available with turbo-petrol, diesel, and CNG powertrains.

Tata Nexon Pure+ PS: What’s on offer?

Here are the prices for all the powertrains available with the Pure+ PS trim.

The Pure+ PS trim of the Tata Nexon packs a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 6-speaker audio system, a voice-assisted panoramic sunroof, an HD rear-view camera with guidelines and sensors, auto-LED headlamps, rain-sensing front and rear wipers, LED tail lamps, electrically adjustable OVRMs, and cruise control.

No changes have been made under the hood of the compact SUV. It continues to be offered in 3 engine options. The 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine generates a maximum power output of 120hp and 170Nm of torque. Meanwhile, the 1.5-litre diesel engine produces a maximum power output of 115hp and 260Nm of torque. These engines can be mated to a 6-speed manual or AMT gearbox.

The 1.2-litre three-cylinder engine on the CNG model produces a maximum power output of 100hp and 170Nm of torque. It can only be paired with a manual transmission. The Nexon CNG has a boot space capacity of 321 litres, a fuel tank capacity of 60 litres, and a mileage of 24 km/kg.

The introduction of the Pure+ PS variant with India’s first panoramic sunroof under ₹10 lakh further strengthens its proposition. As the only SUV in India to offer petrol, diesel, CNG and electric powertrains, the Nexon continues to cater to diverse customer needs while strengthening its appeal in the compact SUV segment.”

Final Thoughts

Prices for the Nexon range start at Rs 7.36 lakh and go up to Rs 15.90 lakh. Currently, there are over a million Nexons on Indian roads. The SUV rivals the Hyundai VenueKia SonetRenault KigerNissan MagniteMahindra XUV300, and Maruti Suzuki Brezza.
