The Mahindra Scorpio N is about to receive a much-needed facelift. Since its launch in June 2022, the SUV has dominated its segment. Now that it’s into the 4th year of its lifecycle, Mahindra plans to refresh it in order to make it more attractive to buyers amidst the rising competition. The facelifted model has been spotted testing on Indian roads since October 2025. More recent spy shots of the SUV emerged this week from the New Delhi-Mumbai expressway.

Mahindra Scorpio N facelift: What do the new spy shots suggest?
Like previous sightings, the Mahindra Scorpio N test mule spotted on the New Delhi-Mumbai expressway was completely camouflaged. However, it did reveal a new design pattern for the alloy wheels. While these are still 5-spoke wheels, they appear to have a new concave design. It remains to be seen whether Mahindra will equip the facelift model with 19-inch alloys.

The cutouts along the front fascia of the camouflaged test mule suggest a new grille design with horizontal slats. The bumper will undergo some rework as well. The new spy shots have revealed significant design changes for the LED headlamps and DRLs, something that wasn’t apparent in previous sightings. No big changes are expected at the back either. The tail gate may be tweaked to look cleaner, but the LED tail lamps will remain largely unchanged. The spare wheel will continue to be positioned under the body.

The spy shots that have surfaced so far have not revealed any details about the Scorpio N facelift’s interior. We expect it to come with a larger, 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system. It will also get a fully digital instrument cluster. There will be wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity on board. Other features like seat ventilation, powered tailgate, ambient lighting, panoramic sunroof, 360-degree camera, rear AC vents, wireless charging, and Level 2 ADAS are also expected to make the cut on the facelift.

Mahindra will not add any mechanical enhancements to the Scorpio N facelift. The new model will stick with the 2 engine options offered on its current version. The 2.0-litre mStallion turbo petrol engine generates a maximum power output of 203hp and 370Nm of torque. It can be linked to a 6-speed manual or automatic gearbox. Meanwhile, the 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engine produces a maximum power output of 132hp and 300Nm of torque. It can be mated to a 6-speed manual or automatic gearbox.

Final Thoughts
While Mahindra has not revealed any details about the launch of the Scorpio N facelift, we expect it to hit the market in the festive season. The current lineup of the SUV is priced between Rs 13.49 lakh and Rs 24.95 lakh. The facelifted model will demand a small premium. Upon launch, it will rival the Tata Safari, MG Hector, Jeep Compass, Hyundai Creta, and Kia Seltos.
