Lamborghini Urus Performante: Everything you need to know

The Lamborghini Urus Performante brings a few exterior tweaks to the luxury SUV. The front and rear bumpers have been redesigned and the SUV gets a new bonnet with cooling vents up front. Along the side, the Urus Performante now gets the option of 23-inch alloy wheels. Weighing 2,150 kg, the Urus Performante is 47 kg lighter than its predecessor.

Inside, the overall look has been retained from the predecessor apart from a few minor changes. The Lamborghini Urus Performante will be made available in a Black Alcantara fabric with the option of leather as well. The ‘Performante’ branding can be found in different parts such as the seats, doors, and roof lining. The seat design has been tweaked as well.

Under the hood, the Lamborghini Urus Performante retains the 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine. In the facelifted model, this engine produces a maximum power output of 666hp, which is 16hp more than its predecessor. It also offers a peak torque of 850Nm. The Urus Performante can go from 0-100 Kmph in just 3.3 seconds and can reach a top speed of 303 Kmph. A coil spring setup replaces the air suspension. This has cost the Urus Performante a ground clearance of 20mm and it also misses three off-road modes – Savia (Sand), Neve (Snow), and Terra (Mud). Instead, the Urus Performante gets a new ‘Rally’ mode.

Conclusion

The price and detailed specifications for the Lamborghini Urus Performante will be revealed upon launch. However, we expect the luxury SUV to fetch up to Rs 5 crore. Upon launch, the Lamborghini Urus Performante will rival Audi RSQ8, Aston Martin DX 707, Porsche Cayenne Turbo GT, Maserati Levante Trofeo, and the recently unveiled Ferrari Purosangue.
