After being globally unveiled last year, the new Kia Seltos facelift is finally making its way to India. The midsize SUV will make its Indian debut on July 4. Prices for the Seltos facelift will be announced in the weeks following its debut. This is the biggest update the Seltos has received ever since its launch in August 2019. The new Kia Seltos facelift gets major changes across the board. Talking about the cosmetic changes first, the SUV gets a new front bumper along with an aluminium skid plate. There are new fog housings on the bumper as well as an ADAS module. The LED headlamps and DRLs receive a fresh new design as well. The grille on the facelift is wider than the outgoing model.
In profile, the Kia Seltos facelift remains largely unchanged, save for a new design for the 17-inch alloy wheels. This new design may be made available only on the top-spec variants. Along the rear, the tailgate gets a design tweak. The biggest change at the back is the new LED taillamp design and the connecting light bar. The L-shaped LED tail lamps are now sleeker, and the new light bar is consistent with the design language found on other midsize SUVs. The GT Line trim will also receive two exhaust tips at the back.
Inside, the new Kia Seltos facelift will get a new 10.25-inch infotainment screen, along with a new rotary dial. The dashboard remains unchanged. The higher-end models may see a 360-degree camera as well. On top of that, the new Kia Seltos will come with the ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System) suite, making it the first Kia offering in India with ADAS onboard. The Seltos facelift will also get a panoramic sunroof, bringing it on par with other SUVs in this segment.
Under the hood, the Kia Seltos will feature the same engine, with no changes whatsoever. It will be continued in the previous 3 variants – the 1.5L naturally aspirated petrol engine, 1.4L turbo petrol motor, and 1.5L diesel engine. Transmission options will remain the same as well – with a 6-speed MT, 6-speed torque converter, and a 7-speed DCT automatic on offer.
