Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) is gearing up to launch its debut all-electric midsize SUV in India. The Hyundai Creta Electric will be launched on the first day of Bharat Mobility Global Expo, January 17. Ahead of the launch, Hyundai has been dropping teasers for the electric SUV. The most recent teaser for the Creta EV reveals its interior layout and some key features. Bookings for the electric SUV are currently open with the token amount set at Rs 25,000.

Hyundai Creta Electric: First look at the interior
Hyundai Creta Electric’s interior features a dual-tone Granite Gray and Dark Navy interior colour theme. Complementing this colour theme is ocean blue ambient lighting on the dashboard and console. The floating console design brings openness and lots of storage space. The electric SUV features dual 10.25-inch displays for the touchscreen infotainment system and the digital instrument cluster. The three-spoke steering wheel has Morse code detailing. Other features include touch-type Dual Automatic Temperature Control (DATC), 8-way powered front seats, driver memory seat, powered passenger seat walk-in device, and more.
There are 2 battery sizes on offer for the Hyundai Creta Electric – 42kWh and 51.4kWh. The 42kWh battery pack offers a driving range of 390km. The 51.4kWh battery pack can keep the EV running for 473km on a full charge. A DC charger can charge the battery pack from 10-80% in just 58 minutes. An AC home charger can fully charge the EV from 10% in under 4 hours. The Creta Electric can go from 0-100kmph in just 7.9 seconds. The powertrain specs for the SUV have not been revealed yet.
The Hyundai Creta Electric looks similar to its ICE siblings. The EV-exclusive design tweaks include a closed-off grille with pixelated graphics, a new skid plate, and Active Air Flaps. The LED tail lamps also feature pixelated graphics. The EV has a 2,610mm long wheelbase. It has a frunk space of 22 litres and a boot space of 433 litres.

As mentioned earlier, the Hyundai Creta Electric will be officially launched on the first day of the Bharat Mobility Expo later this month. We expect the prices for the EV to start at Rs 18 lakh.
