2022 Kia EV6 GT Spied Upon In India Ahead Of Launch

Kia is all set to launch its upcoming crossover electric vehicle, the all-new 2022 Kia EV6 GT in India. Having made its debut globally last year, the 2022 Kia EV6 is said to be the brand’s first model in its EV product lineup in the country. Ahead of its launch expected in May-June this year, the all-electric crossover has been reportedly spied testing in Hyderabad, revealing its first look, features and specifications.

The all-electric 2022 Kia EV6 will be seen featuring a new Kia logo, triangular-shaped headlamps with LED DRLs on top, a Tiger Nose front grille and large trapezoidal fog lights with a seemingly sloping bonnet from the front. Its rear features a roof spoiler with a prominent LED light band arching across its back. 

The Kia EV6 GT interiors are expected to come with a dual-screen dashboard layout including one digital instrument cluster and one touchscreen infotainment system. It comes with connected car tech support and a HUD with a range of advanced driver assistance safety features (ADAS).

Speaking further on the 2022 Kia EV6 GT specs, it is built on the e-GMP platform that it reportedly shares with the Hyundai Ioniq. It comes with 2 powertrain options, a 77.4kWh for a longer range and a 58kWh for the standard range. It will be offered in GT and GT Line variants and in both 2WD and AWD layouts. Its 77.4kWh battery comes with a dual-motor setup offering 576hp and 740Nm of torque. This gives it a claimed acceleration of up to 100kmph in just 3.5 seconds. Its top speed is said to hit 260kmph and its 800V charging architecture allows it to get charged from 10 to 80% in 18mins. 

The 2022 Kia EV6 GT price in India is expected to be in the range of Rs 60 to 75 lakhs.
