Booking window for Nissan Magnite facelift opened ahead of October 4 launch

Nissan India has started accepting bookings for the Magnite facelift ahead of the SUV’s launch on October 4. Buyers can book their model of the facelifted Nissan Magnite for a token amount of Rs 11,000. Nissan will start the delivery rollout for the Magnite a day after its launch. Buyers will start receiving their cars from October 5. The compact SUV will get some cosmetic and instrumentation updates but will remain cosmetically unchanged.

Nissan Magnite facelift: What to expect

From the teasers revealed by Nissan India, the Magnite facelift will receive some significant cosmetic updates. The front grille of the compact SUV will flaunt a new design. The LED headlamps flanking the SUV on either end will also sport a new look. The front and rear bumpers have also been redesigned. In profile, the facelifted SUV will look similar to its outgoing counterpart but will rest on new alloy wheels. The LED tail lamps will follow the design language of the new LED headlamps.

Inside, the Nissan Magnite facelift will showcase a tan and black dual-tone colour theme. The current-gen Magnite has all-black interiors. However, the steering wheel on the facelifted model will have an all-black finish as opposed to the silver and black finish on the current model. Nissan has kept the instrumentation upgrades under a tight lid but we expect the 2024 Magnite to feature a bigger infotainment system. It will also receive ambient lighting for the dashboard and door pads.

There are no mechanical upgrades on the new Nissan Magnite facelift. It will stick with the current two engine options. The 1.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine produces a maximum power output of 72hp and 96Nm of torque. This engine can be linked to a 5-speed manual or automatic transmission. Meanwhile, the 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine produces a maximum power output of 100hp and 160Nm of torque. This engine can be mated to a 5-speed manual or CVT gearbox.

Conclusion

Prices for the current-gen Nissan Magnite start at Rs 6 lakh and go up to Rs 11.11 lakh. We expect the facelifted model to cost a small premium over this amount. Upon launch, it will continue to rival the Kia Sonet, Hyundai Venue, Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV300, Tata Punch, and Maruti Suzuki Brezza.
