Citroen India has updated the C3 Aircross with new features. More importantly, the automaker has dropped the ‘C3’ monicker from the midsize SUV. As a result, prices for the 2024 Citroen Aircross now start at Rs 8.49 lakh, making the SUV more affordable by Rs 1.50 lakh.

The addition of the new 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine has brought down the starting price of the Citroen Aircross. This engine is available with the You and Plus trims. However, the turbo petrol variants of Plus and Max trims are now pricier by Rs 34,000 and Rs 44,000 respectively.

The 1.2-litre 3-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine produces a maximum power output of 82hp and 115Nm of torque. The Aircross shares this engine with the C3 hatchback. It can be mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. It is not available in automatic transmission.

Meanwhile, the 1.2-litre 3-cylinder turbo petrol engine on the Citroen Aircross continues to put out a maximum power output of 110hp and 190Nm of torque. This engine can be mated to a 6-manual transmission or a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox.

Citroen has also updated the top-spec variants of the Aircross SUV with much-needed LED headlamps. These variants have also been equipped with automatic climate control, which was already a common feature in other midsize SUVs. Furthermore, the power window buttons for the rear passengers have been moved from the centre console to the rear door pads. An AC vent has been added for the rear seating row as well. Other features include electrically folding wing mirrors, a grab handle on the passenger side, a larger armrest, a flip key, and a new material for the dashboard.
