Mahindra Thar Roxx 4WD gets a new interior colour theme

Mahindra Auto has added a new interior colour theme to the 4×4 variants of the 5-door Thar. The Mahindra Thar Roxx 4WD is now available in a mocha interior. The automaker will continue to offer the ivory and black dual-tone theme for the lifestyle SUV. The new colour theme was introduced after potential buyers complained that the off-white shade of ivory could attract dirt stains far too easily. Bookings for the Thar will open on October 3.

Mahindra Thar 4WD: New colour theme

When the booking window opens on October 3, buyers will get to choose between 3 interior colour options for the Mahindra Thar Roxx. This choice is limited to 4WD models only. The entry-level 2WD variants will stick with the ivory and black colour theme. The models with the mocha colour theme will begin shipping in January 2025. Meanwhile, the delivery rollout for other models will begin in October itself.

The 5-door Mahindra Thar Roxx is available in six trim levels – MX1, MX3, AX3 L, MX5, AX5 L, and AX7 L. The MX5, AX5 L, and AX7 L trims are available in 4WD configuration. The petrol powertrain will not be available with 4WD. Mahindra has prioritised the production of 4WD variants as it expects them to be the most popular among the masses.

Inside, the Mahindra Thar Roxx gets a 12.5 + 12.5-inch dual-screen display for the touchscreen infotainment system and digital instrument cluster. Other features include ambient lighting, wireless charging, automatic climate control, a cooled glove box, a front armrest, a panoramic sunroof, a powered driver’s seat, ventilated front seating, a 9-speaker Harmon Kardon sound system, and more. The top-spec variants are equipped with an ADAS package.

The Mahindra Thar Roxx is available with two powertrains. The 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine produces a maximum power output of 174hp and 380Nm of torque. Meanwhile, the 2.2-litre diesel engine puts out 172hp and 370Nm. These engines can be mated to a 6-speed manual or automatic transmission.
