TVS launched its all-new premium motorbike TVS Ronin on the 6th of July. This marks TVS’s foray into the premium lifestyle segment, with what is being said as the industry’s first ‘modern-retro’ motorcycle. TVS Ronin is set to be priced at Rs 1.49 lakh.

TVS Ronin: A Closer Look
The new TVS Ronin has all the looks for a retro motorcycle. It features a round headlight up front, with a signature T-shaped pilot lamp. The Ronin also gets an all-digital instrument cluster with SmartXonnect. One can notice the dual-tone theme along the body, with a tear-drop fuel tank, slim seat design, a large belly pan, and blacked-out engine casings and exhaust system.
TVS Ronin will state-of-the-art tech, with features like voice assist, turn-by-turn navigation, incoming call alert/receive, custom window notification, and ride analysis on the TVS SmartXonnect app.
When it comes to the engine, the TVS Ronin is powered by a 225cc motor generating up to 20 bhp (@7750 rpm) of maximum power with a peak torque of 19Nm (@3750 rpm). It will be mated to a 5-speed gearbox. The TVS Ronin gets USD forks at the front and a mono-shock unit at the back. The 9-spoke alloy wheels will come with disc brakes, both at the front and the back. The top variant will also feature ABS.

The TVS Ronin will be offered in three variants – SS, DS, and TD. While the base model will start at Rs 1.49 lakh, the TD variant could fetch up to Rs 1.71 lakh. The SS variant will come in Lighting Black and Magma Red colours. The DS variant will be offered in Delta Blue and Stargaze Black colours. Finally, the TD variant will come in Galactic Grey and Dawn Orange. It will be available in select dealerships across the country starting July 2022.
Starting at Rs 1.49 lakh, the TVS Ronin will be rivalling Yamaha FZ-X, Royal Enfield Classic 350, and the Honda H’ness CB350.
