TVS Motor has confirmed the launch of a new motorcycle into the Indian markets on July 6th this year. Although the brand hasn’t revealed the model being introduced, speculations say that it could be the all-new TVS Ronin 225 Cruiser. TVS had reportedly trademarked the Zeppelin R name, along with registering the Ronin and Fierro 125. However, according to recent reports, the bikemaker might go ahead with the Ronin 225 Cruiser first, instead of the rumoured TVS Zeppelin R launch.

The TVS Ronin 225 will be sporting a retro-themed design language, like a traditional cruiser motorbike. It is expected to feature a circular instrument console similar to the Ducati Scrambler. Its round LED headlights and T-shaped DRL had already been revealed earlier. It will provide essential readouts such as speedometer, odometer, engine temperature and fuel level indicator, and more. The seating of the motorcycle looked upright from the spy shots leaked online. The height of the seat is expected to be lower, in order to make it favourable for short riders.

From the rear, the new TVS Ronin 225 will get slim LED taillights and a larger fender. It is likely to come riding on a 110-section front and a 120-section back wheel, made of alloys.

Speaking of its powertrain, the TVS Ronin 225 will be offered with a new 223cc single-cylinder engine, likely with oil-cooling technology. It is expected to deliver a power of 20bhp and 20Nm of torque. This will be coupled with a 5-speed transmission. The suspension could feature upside-down forks on the front and a mono-shock at the rear. For the braking duties, the motorbike will come equipped with disc brakes at the front and rear, with a dual-channel ABS system for assistance.

The TVS Ronin 225 Cruiser will likely be competing against the Royal Enfield Classic 350 and Honda H’ness CB 350.
