TVS iQube reaches 1,50,000 sales landmark

TVS iQube has reached the sales landmark of 1,50,000 units. The automaker announced that the electric scooter has amassed 1,54,263 units in sales. It took the iQube a little under 4 years to reach this landmark. It cements its position as one of the most popular e-scooters in India. TVS iQube was launched in India in January 2020.

TVS iQube: A success story in an emerging market

TVS iQube is currently available in 2 variants – Standard, S, and ST. The electric scooter was first launched in India back in January 2020 and received a mid-cycle refresh in May 2022. In FY22-23, the iQube sold 96,654 units, recording its best sales numbers in one fiscal year. So far in FY23-24, TVS iQube has sold 38,602 units, a steady increase from the units sold in FY22-23 during the same timeline. It only took the iQube four months to sell the last 50,000 units.

TVS iQube is available in 10 colour options. The entry-level Standard variant is available in 3 colours – Pearl White, Titanium Grey Glossy, and Shining Red. The mid-spec S variant is offered in 4 colour options – Mercury Grey Glossy, Mint Blue, Lucid Yellow and Copper Bronze Glossy. The top-spec ST variant gets 4 colour options – Copper Bronze Matte, Coral Sand Glossy, Titanium Grey Matte and Starlight Blue Glossy.

The Standard and S variants of the iQube are powered by a 3.04kWh battery pack while the top-spec ST variant is equipped with a 4.56kWh unit. The two battery packs are rated IP67 for dust and water resistance. The Standard and S variants offer a driving range of 100km while the ST variant can go up to 140km on a single charge. The top speed for the first two variants has been capped at 78kmph while the ST variant can achieve a peak speed of 82kmph.

Conclusion

Prices for the TVS iQube have gone up ever since the FAME-II subsidy was slashed. The iQube range now starts at Rs 1,17,000. In India, the electric scooter rivals Hero Vida V1, Ola S1 Air, Bajaj Chetak, and Ather 450S.
