Ola Electric has extended the introductory price offer for its affordable e-scooter, Ola S1 Air, till August 15. The purchase window for the electric scooter opened on July 27, with the tech startup registering 3,000 sales within the first few hours. Initially, the introductory offer of Rs 1.10 lakh was reserved for buyers who had pre-booked the vehicle. Now, the offer has been extended to regular customers as well.

Ola S1 Air has seen a lot of lineup reshuffles even before its official launch. Initially available in a single 2.5kWh battery variant, the S1 Air lineup was expanded to three battery variants earlier this year. Due to a lack of demand, Ola scrapped the two new variants in favour of a single 3kWh battery variant. Ola S1, which also came with a 3KWh battery pack has now been discontinued.
Ola S1 Air retains the design of the flagship S1 Pro, bar a few cosmetic changes. The grab handle on the seat has been replaced with a single-piece tubular unit and the curved floorboard has been ditched for a flatter retain. Other than these changes, the Ola S1 Air remains unchanged cosmetically.
Ola S1 Air offers a storage capacity of 34 litres, which isn’t too far from the Pro variant. The 3kWh battery pack powering the scooter offers a driving range of 125km. Suspension duties on the S1 Air are handled by a telescopic front fork and twin rear shock absorbers. The electric scooter gets standard drum brakes on both wheels. The scooter has a total weight of 99kg.

Ola Electric has also revealed that it has received over 50,000 bookings for the S1 Air. The scooter is available in six colour options – Coral Glam, Neo Mint, Porcelain White, Midnight Blue, Jet Black, and Liquid Silver. In India, the Ola S1 Air rivals Simple One, Hero Vida V1, Ather 450S, and TVS iQube.
