New Ola S1 variant: A more affordable alternative
Sources within the company have hinted that a new affordable S1 Pro variant may be on the cards for Ola. Numerous reports suggest that the EV startup is planning a Diwali launch for the new Ola S1 Pro. The affordable variant will be priced under Rs 80,000 and will look to attract buyers of 125cc scooters like TVS Jupiter and Suzuki Access.
Currently, Ola S1 is the company’s most affordable offering at Rs 99,999, with the Ola S1 Pro priced at Rs 1,39,978. The new Ola S1 variant will retain most of the features found on the Pro model but will come with a smaller battery pack. The S1 is equipped with a 3kWh battery pack and offers a maximum range of 128km in Eco mode. The range drops down to 101km and 90km in Normal mode and Sports mode respectively. Given its price range, the new Ola S1 variant will rival Ather 450X, TVS iQUBE and Hero Vida V1.
Ola also announced that the Rs 10,000 cash discount on the Ola S1 Pro that was valid till October 5 has now been extended till Diwali. Apart from the cash discount, Ola is also offering a Rs 1,500 discount on the extended warranty of the e-scooter, a lower interest rate (8.99%), and zero processing for loans.

The base variant of the S1 Pro also garnered some interest within the market. Recently, Ola also announced that it was working on an electric car, which could come out next year.
