Honda XL750 Transalp: What’s on offer?

The new Honda XL750 Transalp draws inspiration from the original Transalp motorbike that came out in the 1980s. It has an angular design that exudes the adventure tourer persona. The motorbike gets a compact headlight, integrated windscreen and large tank shrouds. At the back, the ADV gets an aluminium rear carrier and an LED lighting system.

In terms of features, the Honda XL750 Transalp gets a 5.0-inch TFT panel that displays information related to the speedometer, tachometer, gear-position indicator, fuel gauge & consumption, riding modes, engine parameters and more. This display is customisable and can be changed via the screen or the switchgear on the left handlebar. The XL750 also gets the Honda Smartphone Voice Control system (HSVCs). Riders can link their smartphone to their bike using this system and manage calls, messages, music & navigation while they are on the go. In terms of safety, the motorbike gets features like emergency stop signal and turn signal cancelling.

Powering the Honda XL750 is a 755cc liquid-cooled 270º crank in-line two-cylinder engine. This engine can generate a maximum power output of 92hp at 9,500 rpm and 75Nm of torque at 7,250 rpm. Handling the transmission duties is a 6-speed gearbox. There are 5 riding modes on offer – Sport, Standard, Rain, Gravel and User. The ‘User’ riding can be customised by the rider. The Transalp gets dual 310mm wave discs with hydraulic 2-piston callipers at the front and a 256 mm single disc with a 1-pot calliper at the back.

Introducing Honda’s latest premium adventure motorcycle, Mr Tsutsumu Otani, Managing Director, President & CEO, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India, said, “We are pleased to launch the All-New XL750 Transalp in India. As the adventure motorcycle category continues to flourish, customers are more eager than ever to get out and explore on wheels. The Honda XL750 Transalp is loved by adventure enthusiasts across the globe and we are confident that it will surely excite the ADV buyers in India too.”
