Hyundai India has accumulated monthly sales of 68,728 units in October 2023. Of these 68,728 units, 55,128 cars were sold domestically in the Indian market, while 13,600 units were exported overseas. These figures indicate a sharp uptick in market performance compared to October 2022. The automaker registered a growth of 14.84% in domestic sales and 35.93% in exports. Overall, the growth rate for October was 18.48%.

Commenting on the October sales numbers, Mr Tarun Garg, COO, Hyundai Motor India Ltd. said, “As we enter the peak of the festive season in India, Hyundai Motor India registered robust sales number of 55,128 units in the domestic market in October. The recent announcement of standardizing of 6 airbags across all Hyundai models and variants has been extremely well received by our valued customers. Also, the supply situation is back to full normalcy and our network is geared up to delight customers with the delivery of their favourite Hyundai cars”.
Hyundai’s catalogue in India currently consists of 11 offerings – Grand i10 Nios, i20 (N Line), Aura, Verna, Exter, Venue (N Line), Creta, Alcazar, Tucson, Ioniq 5, and Kona Electric. The automaker exports Grand i10, i20, Venue, Verna, Creta, and Creta Grand from India to overseas markets in Latin America, Africa, the Middle East, and Asia Pacific.
Hyundai India’s newest offering is the micro SUV Exter, with prices starting at Rs 6 lakh. The top-spec SX (O) Connect Automatic trim of the Exter fetches Rs 10 lakh. The SUV stands at dimensions of 3,815mm x 1,710mm x 1,631mm and gets a boxy nose and an upright stance. It is powered by a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine that puts out 83hp and 114Nm of torque. It is decked with features such as an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay & Android Auto support, a 4.2-inch digital instrument cluster with support for multiple Indian languages, a single pane sunroof, a dashcam, and more.

Back in September, Hyundai India updated the i20 N Line with a facelift at the price of Rs 9.99 lakh. The automaker also updated the Venue SUV with an ADAS package. It has also been revealed that Hyundai Tucson will be the first offering from the automaker to undergo the new Bharat NCAP crash tests. Hyundai India has sent three of its cars to the Bharat NCAP for crash testing.
